AMPP North Florida Corrosion Science Scholarship Fund
The AMPP Northern Florida Chapter will award one (1) scholarships, in the amount of $2,000, to a high-school senior, undergraduate, graduate, or a 2-year Associates student interested in pursuing a science or engineering degree. This scholarship was created to recognize outstanding students in north Florida who have a permanent residence or school residence within the counties of: Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay, or Putnam.
1. Eligibility Requirements
*Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an Undergraduate, Graduate, or 2-year Associates program, or a high school senior who will pursue a 2 or 4 year university degree following high-school.
*Applicants must have a permanent or school residence in Florida, specifically one of the following counties: Duval, St. Johns, Nassau, Clay, or Putnam.
*Students must be pursuing a degree in science or engineering.
*Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average on a 4.0 Scale.
2. Candidate Evaluation – the following information should be included for review by the Review Group:
*Completed Application
*Academic transcript
*Two (2) Recommendation Forms from educators or employers familiar with applicants background
*Résumé or CV
3. Travel Assistance Stipend
Recipients of the Central Florida Chapter Academic Scholarship are eligible to receive a travel stipend to subsidize their travel to AMPP Annual Conference + Expo and be recognized in-person at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Attendance at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony is mandatory in order to receive the stipend. Travel Assistance will be available for pick-up at the conference Registration desk during designated times the following Wednesday.
