AMPP Georgia Chapter Craftworker Scholarship
In collaboration with the AMPP EMERG Student Outreach Program, the AMPP Georgia Chapter supports individuals in every facet of the materials protection industry. As such, they have created a scholarship to assist those wanting to advance their career. Applicants pursuing corrosion and/or coatings related training or conferences will be weighted more favorably than other applicants. Scholarships will be used exclusively toward AMPP training courses or conference attendance that will enhance the recipient’s career experience.
Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a coupon code and recipients will have one year to utilize. Financing for this initiative is provided by the profits accrued from fundraising events organized by the AMPP Georgia Chapter.
**Additional funds may be considered for lodging expenses associated with training or for tools and/or equipment to educational institutions that promote or teach relevant courses, at the AMPP Georgia Chapter’s discretion.

1. Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be currently employed or seeking employment in the materials protection field.
- Current college/university students are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have a permanent residence (but not school residence) in the state of Georgia for a minimum of 1 year from scheduled award month.
- Applicants are encouraged to be an AMPP member and requested to attend a minimum of (3) three AMPP Georgia Chapter monthly meetings per year. Non-members will be considered, however members will be weighted more favorably.
- AMPP Georgia Chapter reserves the right to not award scholarship funds based on the merit of applications received.
- AMPP Georgia Chapter reserves the right to review and modify requirements annually. Modifications require consensus from Chapter Committee and approval by AMPP Georgia Chapter Chair.
2. Candidate Evaluation
The following information should be included for review by the Selection Committee:
- Completed application signed by applicant.
- Resume / CV
- Two letters of reference from educators, employers, or an AMPP Chapter member in good standing.
