AMPP Arizona Chapter Scholarship_2-Year College or Certificate

AMPP Arizona Chapter will provide up to (2) two scholarships in the amount of $500 each to college students, or high school seniors who have already been accepted into a 2-year college, pursuing an Associates Degree or certificate, with a specific focus on coatings or corrosion control.

1. Eligibility Requirements

• * Applicants must meet one of the following to be eligible: 1) high school Senior already accepted to a 2-year college or certificate program (must provide proof of acceptance with application in order to be considered) OR 2) students enrolled full time in an 2-year degree granting or certificate program.
• Applicants must be pursuing a corrosion engineering major or an equivalent science major to be considered, with a specific focus on coatings or the corrosion control industry.
• Applicants must be permanent residents of the state of Arizona, but may attend a 2-year college or certificate program out of state.

2. Candidate Evaluation
The following information should be included for review by the Selection Committee:

• Completed Application
• Academic transcript, including description of grading system for student performance, if not on a 4.0 scale
• Two (2) Recommendation Forms from educators or employers familiar with applicants background
• Résumé/CV

3. Travel Assistance Stipend
The recipient of the AMPP Arizona Chapter Scholarship is eligible to receive a travel stipend in order to subsidize their travel to AMPP Annual Conference + Expo and be recognized in-person at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony. Attendance at the Scholarship Awards Ceremony is mandatory in order to receive the stipend. Travel Assistance will be available for pick-up at the conference Registration area during designated times the following Wednesday.
