AUCSC - Dave Krause Academic Scholarship

The AUCSC – David Krause Academic Scholarship is organized to provide both technical and nontechnical presentation of the practical and theoretical aspects of the causes of corrosion, instrumentation, corrosion surveys, cathodic protection, pipe coatings, and miscellaneous methods of corrosion control. On behalf of the AUCSC, AMPP EMERG will award two (2) scholarships in the amount of $3,000 each to students at the University of Akron or West Virginia University.

1. Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time, in an undergraduate program at the University of Akron OR West Virginia University.
  • Student must be pursuing a Science or Engineering degree. Course work focused on corrosion, materials, or coatings will be weighted more favorably as part of the evaluation.

2. Candidate Evaluation
The following information should be included for review by the Selection Committee:

  • Completed Application
  • Academic transcript
  • Résumé/CV
  • Two (2) Recommendation Forms from educators or employers familiar with applicants background
  • Supplemental Essay Question(s)

3. Application Guidelines

In order to be considered, applicants must meet all Scholarship Eligibility Requirements, successfully submit all required documentation (including recommendations), and answer all required essay questions.
