PPG Protective and Marine Coatings Academic Scholarship

PPG Protective & Marine Coatings (PMC) is a world leader in protective and marine coatings. Our products protect customers’ assets in some of the world’s most demanding conditions and environments, and coat a wide variety of projects in various markets including: marine, infrastructure, energy, transportation and petrochemical. We believe that building a strong technical acumen among college students in coatings and corrosion technology is essential to the ongoing success for all of us participating in these industries. AMPP will award up to five (5) scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each, on behalf of PPG Protective & Marine Coating to undergraduate students interested in the study of corrosion or corrosion control.

1. Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate science and/or engineering program at an accredited college or university, with an emphasis on or interest in corrosion or coatings preferred.
  • Student must have a current GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students enrolled in 2-year or junior colleges are eligible to apply.

  • Academic transcript
  • Three (3) Recommendation Forms from educators or employers familiar with applicants background
  • Résumé

In order to be considered, applicants must meet all Scholarship Eligibility Requirements, successfully submit all required documentation (including recommendations), and answer all required essay questions.
